provincial leaders, headed by provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh
Van Nhi, on September 30, visited and congratulated the local elderly religious
dignitaries on their longevity on the occasion of International Day for the
Elderly (October 1).

At the visiting places, on behalf of the delegation, Mr.Nhi extended his best regards to the local elderly religious dignitaries while hoping that they would further make contributions to the local socio-economic development.
*Early September 30, provincial Cultural and Cinema Center’s Poetic Club together with members of the Taichi Club of quarter 8 in TDM city’s Phu Cuong ward visited and presented gifts to elderly people at the facility 2 of provincial Social Support Center in Thuan An town’s An Son commune.
Members of the delegation organized an art performance and donated 90 gifts to disabled, sick, lonely elderly people together with 21 other gifts to the center’s staff with a total expense of more than VND7mln.
*Early September 30, Phu Giao district’s Oriental Medicine Association teamed up with Phu Giao district’s General Hospital and Phuoc Hoa commune’s People’s Committee and Association for the Elderly provided free medical check-ups, medicine and 100 gifts for the elderly in Phuoc Hoa commune.
*Vinh Hoa commune’s Association for the Elderly in Phu Giao district held a ceremony to congratulate 42 elderly people aged 70, 75, 80 and 85 on their longevity. On this occasion, each of us was presented a gift worth VND300,000. An elderly person over 100 years was also given a gift worth VND1.3mln. In addition, Phu Giao district’s Association for the Elderly donated a gift worth VND800,000 to an elderly person aged 90.
