On the occasion of the Tet (lunar New Year) festival 2013, a delegation of provincial leaders, headed by provincial People’s Council Vice-Chairwoman Tran Thi Kim Van, on January 28, visited and presented 524 gifts to the poor, lonely elderly people and Agent Orange (AO) victims in Phu Giao district.
The delegation visited and presented 144 Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each to the poor, lonely elderly people and AO victims in An Binh commune. At the visiting places, Mrs.Van also extended her regards to these disadvantaged people while encouraging them to overcome difficulties and rise up.
It is known that the above gifts are worth more than VND15mln, funded by the Binh Duong branch of the Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam and provincial Buddhist Shangha.
*A delegation of provincial leaders, led by provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vice-Chairman Tu Xuan Son, visited and presented Tet gifts to needy people in Phu Giao district’s An Linh commune.
At the visiting place, the delegation visited 50 Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each to the poor, lonely elderly people and AO victims. Mr.Son also extended his regards to these advantaged people while encouraging them to overcome difficulties and rise up.
*The same day, provincial Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients coordinated with relevant agencies to visit and donate Tet gifts to the disabled, orphans and poor patients in Dau Tieng district’s two communes of Minh Hoa and Minh Thanh.
Particularly, the delegation presented 200 Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each, including sugar, cooking oil, seasoning powder, instant noodle…together with VND100,000 in cash, to the disabled, orphans and poor patients in each commune.
*Early January 28, provincial Child Support Fund also visited and presented 150 Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each to children with difficulties in Long Tan and Long Hoa communes.
