On the morning of June 4, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with a provincial delegation, inspected and surveyed the conditions and facilities in An Long commune (planned) and met with Standing Committee of Phu Giao District Party Committee to discuss preparations for the operations of new communes following the rearrangement.
At the meeting, representatives of Phu Giao district leaders reported on the review and arrangement of offices and personnel of new communes in the district. Accordingly, after the arrangement, Phu Giao district will have 4 communes (Phu Giao, Phuoc Hoa, Phuoc Thanh and An Long) with a total of 377 cadres, civil servants and public employees, of which 143 are from the Party and mass organizations and 234 from the government; it is expected that 272 people will be assigned to the commune police and military.

To prepare for the new communes that will begin operations on July 1, 2025, the district has approved a plan involving four communes. This plan includes repairing three public administrative service centers and offices. Additionally, the district will arrange assets, such as specialized machinery, equipment, and shared resources.

During the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi commended Phu Giao district and related units for their proactive efforts in preparing for the operation of the new communes following the merger. He urged the district to carefully consider the feedback from the working group members to effectively lead and manage the new communes. This will ensure a smooth operation, with no interruption to regular tasks, particularly in handling administrative procedures for residents and businesses.
The Provincial Party Secretary also stressed the importance of arranging and utilizing the existing headquarters efficiently to avoid waste. Moreover, he encouraged district leaders to actively communicate the preparations for the trial operation of the four new communes, gathering insights to facilitate their stable operation starting July 1, 2025.
