On March 1, provincial Police Agency held a ceremony to announce decisions on organizational restructuring and personnel appointments under the new organizational model of the Ministry of Public Security. The event was presided over by Colonel Ta Van Dep, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of provincial Police Agency. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Council and Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission.

At the event, provincial Police Agency announced the Minister of Public Security's decision regarding the organizational structure of police forces of the provinces and cities under the central management. Under this new model, Binh Duong provincial Police Agency has been restructured from a three-tier system to a two-tier system, comprising only provincial and communal levels, with district-level police agency being abolished as of March 1, 2025. Provincial Police Agency also announced and presented transfer decisions from provincial Police Agency Director to 12 senior officers, including department heads and chiefs of district-level police agencies as well as 38 deputy chiefs of district-level police agencies who have now been reassigned to positions within specialized departments at provincial level.
Colonel Ta Van Dep emphasized that streamlining the apparatus, not organizing district-level police, is a major and correct policy of the Politburo and Central Police Party Committee, stemming from new requirements and tasks, the practice of ensuring security and order, digital transformation, thereby reducing the intermediary level, improving quality, effectiveness, work efficiency and quality of service to the people. He requested that units under the police agencies of communes, wards and towns need to quickly stabilize their organization, change their status, be proactive and creative in their work and successfully complete their assigned tasks. Regarding new functions, tasks and powers, they need to quickly approach and proactively implement them effectively. He also stressed the importance of maintaining continuous coverage across all assigned areas and fields, leaving no security gaps in the transition process.
According to the plan of restructuring and implementing the new organizational model, Binh Duong provincial Police Agency has streamlined 9 district-level police units and 99 team-level units.
