On January 10, provincial Police Agency held a conference to summarize its activities in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.
The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council.
In 2023, provincial Police Agency mobilized its forces and means to drastically deploy many solutions to ensure security and order, contributing to the local socio-economic development. In crime prevention and control work, provincial Police Agency investigated and clarified over 1,500 wrong cases on social order, arresting nearly 2,900 subjects. Notably, up to now, the rate of people granted citizen identification cards has reached 100%, making Binh Duong become one of the first 19 provinces and cities in the country to meet the target of issuing citizen identification cards. The electronic identity activation rate is ranked second in the country with 1.4 million accounts.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Loi asked for the entire police force to further focus on building a force that is truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern at requirements, tasks in the new context. Provincial Police Agency needs to continue proactively advising provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, Party Committees and authorities at all levels on policies and solutions to ensure security and order early, from afar, not to be passive or surprised in any situation. For people to feel secure to celebrate Tet, provincial Police Agency need to effectively implement security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024...
On this occasion, provincial People's Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 1 group and 4 individuals and an unexpected bonus of VND 50 million to the Criminal Police Department for their outstanding achievements in successfully fighting and destroying a case that kidnapped a foreigner for ransom in the province.
