Provincial Post Office keep improving and innovating themselves

After separating from Binh Duong Post and Telecommunication (January 1, 2008), from monopoly business to market economy, Binh Duong Post Office has promoted the traditions of the industry and their potentials, available resources, combined with good personnel strategy, the post office gained many successes.

Efforts to overcome difficulties

In the same situation with post offices in the whole country, after the separation, Binh Duong Post Office only had only old, scattered material facilities. The number of loyal customers fell, due to the rampant growth of internet; Meanwhile, postal services were in a fierce competition, and dominated by many new businesses, new services...

Outstanding individuals and collections of provincial Post Office are commended.

At the sum-up conference of Resolution 03 of Vietnam Post, Le Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy Director of provincial Post Office, said that provincial People's Council’s delegation surveyed at communal cultural post offices and noted the low performance of these facilities, due to low revenues, no customers. The immediate solution was to equip more computers with internet connection so that farmers can look up information and read books via internet. However, communal cultural post offices were still in difficulty, due to limited finalcial sources; Each collaborator, post office manager was supported with only 500,000 VND / month.

With the tradition and internal strength of more than 30 years, the first goal of provincial Post Office is to save themselves, due to new requirements and changes in the market. First of all, in order to get the personnel to maintain the system operation, leaders came to each locality to seek and invite collaborators.

Transition from single- to multi-service

Although Binh Duong Post Office must compete against many new services, they have advantages and opportunities ahead. That is the reputation in investment attraction and the stable, sustainable development of provincial socio-economy. In addition, the number of migrant workers in the province is increasing, plus administrative reform in accordance with Decision 45/2016 / QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on receiving and returning administrative procedure results by public postal services..., provincial Post Office have actively collaborated with other departments, committees, branches, districts, towns and cities in the province to sign cooperative regulation in receiving and returning results to reduce people’s time. This sector has generated 450,000 transactions a year with an average turnover of over VND7.5 billion; at the same time, create a foundation for the development of new services and heighten revenue, contributing to the improvement of the administrative reform in the province.

From effective initial services, the market continued to open new opportunities, such as pilot model of tax payment through the postal system; unemployment insurance payments; social security payments through the post office system ... These services have brought many benefits to customers, reduce travel costs and transaction pressure in State administrative agencies.

Increased business efficiency, expanded market opportunities, but the market economy mechanism forced the Post Office to review, adjust and improve its operations to ensure efficiency, safety and thrift. At present, 100% postmen are equipped with smartphones to search mailing addresses to save time, travel costs and increase productivity. Postmen are equipped with specialized vehicles with post office logo to combine business and advertising their image to customers. As a result, the sector reached growth rate of over 10% per year.

In addition to renovating and shortening the operation process, emulation movements and promotion of technical innovations are being promoted by provincial Post Office among their staff. Every year, over 40 collectives and individuals of the unit are rewarded for their outstanding achievements, many innovations and techniques that have profited and increased turnover of the unit.
