Provincial Steering Board for the Project on improving malnutrition in children yesterday held a conference to review the project in the period of 2011-2015 and devise orientations for the 2016-2021 period.

Over the past five years, the province obtained considerable results in malnutrition prevention and public healthcare. The rate of underweight children under five years constantly decreased, the sixth lowest nationwide. For the 2016-2020 period, the objectives of the project are to improve malnutrition in children in terms of height and weight; reduce the rate of death in children, due to acute malnutrition; curb and prevent obesity and belly fat; improve nutrient deficiency in children and pregnant women…
On this occasion, 1 collective and 1 individual were also awarded the certificates of merit of the Ministry of Health; 11 collectives and 20 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee; 22 collectives and 87 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial Department of Health for their excellent achievements in the realization of the project in the period of 2011 and 2015.
