Provincial Red Cross holds gift visits to the poor

Earlier, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee also donated VND300mil to flood victims in Nga Bay town of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang.

As of Nov. 25, 2011, in Hau Giang province, as many as 33 houses were collapsed, 6,224 ha of rice were inundated, with over 700 ha destroyed, over 3,000 ha of orchards were inundated and so on with the total loss of over VND273bil.

Earlier, on Nov. 21 and 22, 2011, the provincial Red Cross and members of the provincial Volunteer Club organized a gift visit to poor ethnic people in Ia Pa district’s Amaron commune of the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai. The delegation granted 200 gifts each worth VND900,000 to poor ethnic people. The total value of the gift visit was at VND180mil funded by Thanh Tuan Real Estate Company, My Phuoc III industrial park and other donors.

Accordingly, since the start of this year the provincial Red Cross has mobilized members of the provincial Volunteer Club to hold 3 gift visits worth over VND420mil to poor ethnic groups in 3 districts of Krong Pa, Chu Se and Ia Pa under the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai.
