Provincial Red Cross returns two pregnant women to hometown

On the morning of Sep 6, Provincial Red Cross Society cooperated with Red Cross Associations of Di An City and Phu Giao district to carry two pregnant women back to their hometown waiting for the delivery according to their wishes. Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, present supports to the two women before the trip.

Nguyen Loc Ha and leaders of the Provincial Red Cross gave gifts to the two women before they returned to their hometown.

The two supported women were Tran Thi My Duyen living in hamlet 1A, Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Giao district (born in Thuong Phuoc 1 commune, Hong Ngu district, Dong Thap province); and Le Vu Thanh Tra, living in Tan Phuoc quarter, Tan Binh ward, Di An city (born in Phuoc Tien ward, Nha Trang city). Due to the impact of the Covid-19, both of these pregnant woman have been out of work for more than two months, are currently pregnant and live alone, so they wish to be supported to return to their hometown and wait for the delivery.

Provincial Red Cross considered their aspirations, difficult circumstances, and received the acceptance of local authorities of their hometowns, then brought the two women back to their home.

In addition to providing vehicles for returning home, Provincial Red Cross also presented 10 million VND in cash and a gift of necessities to each woman; Red Crosses of Di An City and Phu Giao District also gave additional gifts to two women.

Nguyen Loc Ha also asked after health conditions and difficulties of the pregnant women during the pandemic time. He also reminded them about after returning home, they need  to strictly comply with regulations on pandemic prevention and control; and wished them both good health and safe delivery at home.
