Provincial Red Cross Society holds "zero dong” market-day and inaugurates humanitarian works

Early May 19, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels simultaneously coordinated with relevant units to organize "zero dong” market-days while inaugurating humanitarian works with a total value of over VND 2.6 billion on the occasion of the 132nd  anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

At the humanitarian point on April 30 street in Thu Dau Mot city, provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with provincial Labor Union held the 9th "zero-dong” market-day 2022. Attending the event was Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Hoang Minh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Military Command; Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee together with leaders of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Red Cross Society, Labor Union, departments, agencies and mass organizations, Thu Dau Mot city, units, businesses and donors.

The 9th "zero-dong” market-day delivered 300 vouchers to the disabled, the poor, and difficult workers in Thu Dau Mot city. Each voucher was worth more than VND 1 million. The total value of the market-day was more than VND 300 million, funded by units, organizations, businesses, donors...via provincial Red Cross Society.

The Red Cross Society branches of 9 districts, towns and cites also coordinated with district-level agencies and mass organizations to simultaneously organize many meaningful humanitarian activities such as organizing "zero dong” market-days to support food and necessities for people in need; commencing construction of new works and handing over “red cross” houses to households with extremely difficult circumstances…
