Provincial Secretary calls for higher value of healthcare within public hospitals

On the afternoon of June 5, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation had a meeting with leaders of the Department of Health and related departments and agencies on the upcoming plans arranging provincial health facilities. Attending the meeting was Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated the efforts and endeavours of the provincial health sector over the past time, including the provincial General Hospital as well as the spirit of resolving difficulties, being proactive and creative in work of a number of departments and faculties of the hospital, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and health care for the people. For the arrangement of medical facilities at the provincial levels, the provincial Party Secretary requested to calculate synchronous and coherent plans. The facilities, when arranged, need to be invested in solid construction as well as equipped with modern medical equipment to be used effectively, and newly built establishments must ensure the saving of land fund. At the same time, it is necessary to focus on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment of public hospitals and preventive medicine including those at provincial and grassroots levels. Calls for the socialization of the health sector to build Binh Duong into a regional healthcare center should be strengthened.

Earlier in the afternoon of the same day, Nguyen Van Loi and the delegation visited patients being treated at the Orthopedic Department of the provincial General Hospital where the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee enquired after, encouraged and gave gifts to patients Nguyen Thi Be Nhu and Pi Nang Thi Xinh (born in 1992 of Raglai ethnic group - native of Ninh Thuan province).

On the occasion of visiting and working at the provincial General Hospital, Nguyen Van Loi donated VND 200 million to support poor patients being treated at the provincial General Hospital.
