On August 2, Provincial Social Policy Bank held a meeting to preliminarily summarize the first 6 months 2019, set out tasks for the last 6 months, and prepare for Directive No. 40/CT-TW dated 22 Nov 2015 of the Central Secretariat. Provincial Social Policy Bank is implementing 11 credit programs for poor households and other policy beneficiaries. Total outstanding loans up to June 30 reached over VND 2,416 billion, focusing mainly on credit programs for neay-poor households, households that newly escaped from poverty, students, clean water and rural environmental protection, and job creation. Accordingly, the bank disbursed 14,208 loans for eligible households, the average loan balance reached VND35 million/household, helping 3,648 households to escape poverty, attracting and creating new jobs for 6,237 laborers, building more than 5,572 clean water and environmental protection projects meeting national standards.
At the meeting, members of the board discussed difficulties and problems in implementing credit policies at the grassroots level, and proposed some key solutions that need to be implemented in the next period. Participants also contributed ideas and made suggestions to the draft preparation works for the implementation of Directive No. 40/CT-TW dated 22 Nov 2015 of the Central Secretariat.
The conference set out 3 key tasks for Directors Board of Provincial Social Policy Bank and entrusted socio-political organizations to complete the assigned plan for the whole year.
