On 22 Jan, Social Policy Bank - Binh Duong Branch announced orientation and tasks of policy credit activities in 2019. Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, attended the meeting. Social Policy Bank’s key task of policy credit activities in 2019 was to strengthen collaboration with local authorities, socio-political organizations to perform entrusted management of State budget capital; quickly disburse for right subjects at transaction offices; create favorable conditions for borrowers and poor households to borrow loans and develop production, improve their lives. Provincial Social Policy Bank is currently implementing 11 credit programs for poor households and other policy beneficiaries with a total outstanding loan of over VND 2,269 billion, with nearly 69,000 borrowers, focusing mainly on near-poor households, students, clean water and sanitation, job creation and social housing programs. In 2018, the unit performed disbursement for 28,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries with a total loan of over VND 1,000 billion for production and business development, creating stable income, helping more than 3,000 households to escape poverty; create new jobs for more than 15,000 laborers; more than 800 students got access to loans to finance their study; to renovate and build more than 6,800 clean water and environmental works meeting national standards.
