With the motto of “Proactive, flexible, creative, effective”, over the years, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Binh Duong province has constantly innovated to improve the effectiveness of cooperation activities with international organizations and foreign localities. Strengthening friendly relations
In the joyful atmosphere of the first days of the new year 2025, preparing to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the provincial leaders has recently received a high-ranking delegation of Champasak province, Laos, led by Mr. Alounxay SounNaLath, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Governor, who visited and worked in Binh Duong province. In a joyful and warm atmosphere, the Champasak delegation and the leaders of Binh Duong province highly appreciated the spirit of friendly cooperation between Binh Duong and Champasak provinces in particular and Vietnam - Laos in general in the past time; at the same time, they suggested other aspects of cooperation, contributing to strengthening the comprehensive friendly cooperation between Binh Duong and Champasak.
Previously, the working delegation of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province and the Champasak Provincial Front also summarized 5 years of implementing the Minutes of the Working Session between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province and the Lao Front for National Construction of Champasak province, period 2019 - 2024. Through these important events, once again affirmed the cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam - Laos in general; Binh Duong - Champasak in particular is a special friendship, solidarity, comprehensive cooperation.
In 2024, many important international events took place in Binh Duong province, along with the frequent visits and work of international delegations, contributing to promoting the image and position of the province in the international arena and expanding investment promotion opportunities. In August 2024, the province signed a Memorandum of Understanding on friendly cooperation with a new locality, Heidelberg City (Germany), bringing the total number of localities of friendly countries having friendly cooperation relations with the province to 14 localities. This has brought opportunities, as well as set new tasks for foreign affairs in general, and people-to-people diplomacy in particular of the province in the coming time. |
On the basis of closely following the key contents of the emulation movement of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Cluster No. 4 - Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and Emulation Block No. 7 (Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations and provincial associations), with the proactive coordination of the Standing Office of the Union and members of the Executive Committee, member associations, departments, branches, unions, enterprises, universities, the Union and its member associations have implemented activities and achieved many important results in people's foreign affairs.
The provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and its member associations have maintained a good implementation of giving flowers and sending congratulatory letters to the Consulates General of Laos, Cambodia, India, Russia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands, etc. on important occasions such as National Day, the day of establishing diplomatic relations, traditional holidays and New Year of the ethnic groups; actively participated in programs to meet diplomatic corps; welcomed delegations of leaders of localities of Cambodia, Laos, China, Japan, Korea, etc. to visit and work in Binh Duong; participated in welcoming the delegation of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany to visit and work at the Vietnam-Germany University; participated in the program to celebrate 10 years of friendly cooperation between Binh Duong province and Yamaguchi Prefecture (Japan), etc.; and actively participated in many international programs and events taking place in the province.
Promoting the role in people's foreign affairs
Over the past time, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and its member associations have constantly innovated and improved the effectiveness of foreign affairs activities in the fields of peace, solidarity, friendship and people-to-people cooperation, contributing to further strengthening the friendship between Binh Duong and countries and territories around the world. During the year, the union and its member organizations have successfully chaired and coordinated more than 30 peace, solidarity and friendship activities, typically: The meeting program to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Victory Day, protecting the southwestern border of the Fatherland and together with the Cambodian army and people to defeat the genocidal regime; the program "Nurturing friendship" to award scholarships to Lao and Cambodian students studying at the Engineer Officer School on the occasion of the traditional New Year of Laos and Cambodia; the program "Chung dong Mekong" to exchange students of the three countries Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia in 2024; gift giving program for 200 Vietnamese households returning from Cambodia to temporarily reside in Dau Tieng district and households in difficult circumstances in the district; Japan Festival program - Japan Festival 2024; meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam - Russian Federation...; at the same time flexibly coordinate to successfully organize many programs and activities arising outside of the plan.
Mrs. Tran Thi Kim Van, President of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, said that in 2025, the union will focus on organizing the 3rd Congress, term 2025-2030 of the union; promoting the establishment of a new member association, the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association; Participate in coordinating and organizing well events and activities to celebrate the occasions of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and a number of countries and localities with which Binh Duong province has friendly cooperative relations such as: 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany, 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, 20 years of establishing friendly cooperative relations between Binh Duong province and Daejeon City (Korea), 10 years of establishing friendly cooperative relations between Binh Duong province and Eindhoven City, Emmen City (Netherlands) and East Flanders Province (Belgium)... At the same time, the union continues to innovate the content and methods of operation, closely coordinate with the agencies and departments of the province in propagating and implementing people-to-people foreign affairs activities, contributing to bringing practical efficiency and high spillover effects.
