The event was attended by Tran Van Nam, member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, Honorable Chairman of provincial Red Cross Society; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Mobilization Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation; representatives of Vietnam Red Cross Society’s Central Committee in the southern region, HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, sectors, departments together with officials, civil servants, laborers and locals.
The ceremony aimed to respond to the appeal by Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong to mark the National Blood Donation Day 2020.
The event absorbed 700 registers, including officials, civil servants, laborers and locals. As a result, the organizers collected 599 units of blood. The amount of blood will contribute to meeting the blood demand of patients being treated at medical facilities.
On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Nam presented a bouquet to physicians of HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center for their efforts in supporting the province to receive blood donated over the past time.
On this occasion, Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center awarded the certificates of merit to provincial Mobilization Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation and Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairman of provincial Red Cross Society.
