Provincial War Veterans’ Association has continued promoting emulation movements in association with acceleration of studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings, contributing to raising each member’s responsibility in many fields.
Improving effectiveness of emulation movements
Over the past time, provincial War Veterans’ Association and its branches promoted emulation movements in association with each member’s task. Many practical activities were implemented, contributing to well realizing the local campaigns.
Outstanding units in activities of North Tan Uyen district’s War Veterans’ Association in 2018 honored
In 2018, more than 4,000 officials and members of the association took part in Party, government and mass organizations or 25.4% of total. Officials and members of the associations at all levels actively studied the Party’s policies and the State’s laws; regularly made contributive ideas to officials, Party members, Party and government organizations; were determined to fight against anti-Marxism-Leninism views and policies of the Party while joining hands with relevant units to educate youths about the revolutionary goal, ideal and patriotism tradition of the nation.
One of emulation contents drastically implemented by provincial War Veterans’ Associations at all levels were to take care of officials and members’ spiritual and material lives. Realizing this content, they strengthened solidarity and helped each other in economic development. So far, the total outstanding loans of the whole association have reached more than VND252billion. The branches of the association last year also mobilized members to help each other with cash, nurslings, breeding animals and working days of nearly VND3billion, supporting 278 households to develop home based business.
Studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings
Studying and following late President Provincial War Veterans’ Association continued being promoted among officials, members and gained major results over the past time.
Many effective models in studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings were widely multiplied across the province. There were also a lot of outstanding war veterans in this task, namely Nguyen Huu Van in Phuoc Hoa commune and Duong Ba Uoc in Phuoc Vinh township in Phu Giao district; Tran Hoai Tam in Tan Binh ward and Pham Van Phon in Binh An ward in Di An town; Nguyen Thi Da in Hoa Loi ward in Ben Cat town; Nguyen Van Guom in Thanh Tuyen commune in Dau Tieng district…
In 2018, provincial War Veterans’ Associations at all levels’ models, including “Golden heart of war veterans”, “5+1”, Educating young generations at school”, “Giving strength to pupils”…upheld their effectiveness, absorbing the participation of numerous officials and members.
Nguyen Ngoc Hanh, Chairman of Ben Cat town’s War Veterans Association said that with the model of “Close to grassroots, close to members”, the town’s War Veterans’ Associations and its branches organized meetings with grassroots members, thereby grasping their feelings and aspirations for timely support.
Whilst, Nguyen Dinh Tiep, Deputy Chairman of provincial War Veterans’ Association said: “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s ideal, morality and lifestyle will continue being implemented in association with the Resolution of the 4th plenary session of the 12th Party Central Committee. The association will also further uphold the nature of Vietnamese people’s army…”.
