Promoting emulation movements
Over the past years, the provincial Women Union at all levels have launched many emulation movements to meet requirements of industrialization and modernization and affirm their role and position in family and society.
Accordingly, the emulation movement of “Women involve positively in study, creation, labor and happy family building” in combination with “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples” mobilization have received great response from numerous sisters.
In addition, the mobilization of “Building 5 nought, 3 clean family” has been launched widely and seriously. Contents and criteria of emulation movements have been concretized in conformity with members and units.
In the past year, the union at all levels held 5,094 training classes with participation of 235,000 turns of sisters.
Eyeing community
One of the highlighted activities of the union in the past year was charity house building for poor women and excellent-but-poor children.
Dang Thi Mong Huyen, vice chairwoman of the provincial Women Union, said the movement of “Eyeing poor women and children”, initiated by Vietnam Women Union in the past year won great response from members, organizations and individuals. The union at all levels received 268 scholarships and funds for building charity houses with the total value of nearly VND2.8bil. The movement helped many needy women and students overcome difficulties.
In addition, the union has maintained a model of charity rice jar, helping 2,986 underprivileged sisters; mobilized donors to grant gifts and rice jars for poor lonely women, privileged families and among others with the total value of VND680mil. And, there are many other significant models eyeing the community.
