Population promulgators and collaborators join in a population contest.
Possibly speaking, the work of family-planning and population is very complicated. With the motto of “Building wealth, equal, advanced and happy family”, the union has over years cooperated with relevant units to change operational modes of the work.
Notably, in 2011 the union has held many contests of family-planning and population to promulgate contraceptive measures, sexual-transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS control, and reproduction healthcare for adults and so on.
Nguyen Tu Thien, vice chairwoman of An Thanh ward Women Union, Thuan An town, said “Male chauvinism remains popular. One of reasons of breaking family-planning in many families lies in low awareness on contraceptive measures”. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, chairwoman of Phu My ward Women Union, added “many rural sisters are in shortage of knowledge on contraceptive measures. We always spur promulgation on family – planning to women in rural areas”.
To win high results in the work, Dang Thi Mong Huyen encouraged the women unions at all levels to excel policy of family-planning and population as well as educate skills of gender equality, family violence prevention and son for local families.
