On August 28, Provincial Women's Union held a workshop to share experiences on implementing Decision 217-QD / TW, 218-QD / TW of the Politburo on “Improving the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, advising and proposing policies to contribute to resolving urgent issues of women”. Attending the workshop were representatives of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, provincial People's Council, and nearly 100 women union officials at communes, wards, districts, towns, and city in the province..
Under the direction of the Party Committee, Women's Union at all levels in the province made many innovations in the registration of supervision contents. The organization of social supervision also gradually ensured efficiency, practicality, and quality. The supervision contents were registered with Party Committees from the end of last year, focused on regulations related to union members and women, such as: Maternity policy for rural women and daycare centers in rural areas; policies on issuing health insurance cards for children under 6 years old; dissemination and education of laws for women in the province; the implementation of regimes for female workers during maternity and child nursing ... Women's Unions at all levels organized supervision through the establishment of delegations, in which the provincial level implemented 7 monitoring programs and 10 direct monitoring units.
At the workshop, the delegates exchanged ideas of advantages, disadvantages, and listened to experiences of representatives of Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Culture and Social Affairs Commission of Provincial People's Council in organizing supervision of issues that are close to women at the unit.
