Provincial Women's Union organizes activities in response to day of "All people to prevent and combat drugs"

Provincial Women's Union (WU) has launched propagation activities to respond to the day of "All people to prevent and combat drugs" 26th June 2021. This was a campaign to raise for women's awareness of the consequences and harmful effects of drugs on social life. Thereby, to arouse the sense of responsibility, encourage women members to participate in the prevention and control of drug crimes and drug evils, contributing to protecting political security and social order safety in the province.

According to Nguyễn Thị Thanh Mai, Vice President of Provincial Women's Union, this universalization also aimed to gradually improve the effectiveness of drug prevention control and the coordination between the police and Women's Unions to implement Joint Resolution No. 01 on managing and educating family members about not to commit crimes and social evils; to enhance the implementation of the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", especially the criterion "Family does not violate the law and social evils".

Forms of dissemination were direct communication, distribution of leaflets about law on drug prevention and control, consequences and harms of illegal use, production and sale of narcotics to each person and society. In particular, the dissemination focused on synthetic drugs, new psychotropic substances that are spreading among young people. The propagation must ensure compliance with the instructions about COVID-19 prevention and control.

Besides, the association also encouraged women's members to take part in the contest of video clips on drug prevention and control 2021 launched by the provincial 138 Steering Committee. This was an online contest to post propagation clips and skits on drug prevention and control on WU's fanpage...

In addition to dissemination activities, on this occasion, Women's Unions at all levels in the province also organized education activities to help female prisoners reintegrate into the community; help rehabilitated persons have stable jobs.
