At the conference, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Director of provincial Department of Science-Technology (DoST) said that provincial DoST will set up a community initiative and business support center. This will be a place organizing connection activities and giving consultancy free of charge for individuals with business startup ideals.

Accompanying women

Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwoman of provincial Women’s Union said that 2018 was the first year for the implementation of provincial Project on supporting business startup women for the period of 2018-2025.

During the process of realizing the project, provincial Women’s Union has discovered many outstanding women in economic development. Luong Thi Nhi, residing in Phu Giao district’s Tan Hiep commune is a typical example for this. As a chairwoman of Tan Hiep communal Women’s Union, she has always paid attention to developing activities of the local Women’s Union. Noticeably, she has managed to set up a household sewing cooperative with 7 members with the month income of around VND30million, generating jobs for 20 women with the average income of between VND5million and VND6million per person per month… Or, Tran Thi Kim Hong, residing in Thuan An town’s Lai Thieu ward said that she has successfully developed a model on “linh chi” (linhzhi) mushroom growing, helping stabilize her life.

According to Ms.Hong, provincial Women’s Union needs to help women get access to support policies and have more knowledge in business scopes…for better business startup.
