Provincial Women's Union upholds the core role, effectively and practically implements many programs

On July 25, Binh Duong Provincial Women's Union (WU) held a conference to review the five-year implementation of Directive 21-CT/TW dated January 20, 2018 of the Secretariat on continuing to enhance women's work in the new situation; activities and movements of the union over the first 6 months of 2023. The conference was attended by Tran Thi Huyen Thanh, member of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union, Head of the Southern Affairs Committee; Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee for Mass Mobilization.

In recent years, all levels of women's unions in the province have made great efforts to overcome difficulties, unite, be creative, implement and fulfill tasks according to Directive 21-CT/TW, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province. Namely, the WU did many activities to raise social awareness about the role, position and potential of women in women's work and gender equality; 774 women examples were discovered, fostered and replicated by unions at all levels; maintained and sponsored 1,679 turns of orphans, with a total of gifts and cash worth more than VND16 billion...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan appreciated the achievements of Women's Unions at all levels in the province; he suggested that in the coming time, WU at all levels should continue to promote their core roles, advise the Party committees of the same level, and coordinate with organizations in the political system to continue to perform well women’s works, gender equality; especially implement targets and tasks under Directive No. 21-CT/TW; launch and effectively organize emulation movements, campaigns launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union and the province...

At the conference, 5 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 21-CT/TW of the Secretariat were awarded certificates of merit by Provincial People's Committee.
