Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels make contributions to new rural construction

Under the campaign of “Building a good family model of Five Nos and Three Cleans” in association with the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels have realized many effective models, aiming to build urban civilization and new-style rural areas.

Effective models

One of the main models on urban civilization construction highly appreciated by the province over the past time was the club on household waste classification of the groups 10 and 11 in Phu Hoa ward’s quarter 6 in TDM city. This model has contributed to helping the local streets get cleaner and clearer.

Vo Thi Hoang Minh, Chief of the club said that under the campaign of “Building a good family model of Five Nos and Three Cleans” in association of urban civilization, Phu Hoa ward’s quarter 6 in TDM city decided to set up the club with around 20 participating households as of late 2012.

So far, members of the club have been propagandized about collecting waste and dropping them in the proper place under stipulated time. Especially, they must classify waste in according with each kind. The club is being implemented to the remaining households of the groups 10 and 11, contributing to building a civilized, clean and beautiful quarter.

Or, the club of “Green house” of the Women’s Union of Bach Dang commune’s Dieu Hoa hamlet in Tan Uyen district has also brought into play its effectiveness. Ho Thi Thuy, Chief of the club said that the club was established in August 2011 with 30 members. Its meeting is held every quarter with the contents of propagandizing and mobilizing members to study the issues relating to women, children, prevention of family violence, social evils…under 8 criteria of the campaign “Building a good family model with Five Nos and Three Cleans”

Members of the club have committed to take good care of their children; regularly got involved in making environmental hygiene, propagandized and mobilized all people to keep environmental hygiene…for a green and clean living environment.

According to Huynh Thi Thu Hong, a member of the club, criteria of the campaign “Building a good family model of Five Nos and Three Cleans” are the goals aimed by each family. Hence, joining the club is very significant.

Making contributions to new rural construction

The campaign of “Building a good family model with Five Nos and Three Cleans” was launched nationwide by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union over the past time. Accordingly, the Resolution of the 9th National Women’s Union congress for the 2012 and 2017 tenure continued defining that the campaign was an important content of the Vietnam Women’s Union in the whole tenure, contributing to building urban civilization and new-style rural areas.

In Binh Duong, the campaign of “Building a good family model with Five Nos and Three Cleans” has upheld its effectiveness after four-year implementation. Through concrete actions, the campaign has created a breakthrough in awareness and action of officials and members of the local Women’s Unions at all levels about the role, position and importance of family. They have brought into play their role as mothers and wives in family, made a coherence between members by their love, set bright examples for their children and relatives to build up fine relationships, preventing family violence.
