Offering free health check-ups and medicines for rural people
Over years, people in remote and rural areas are familiar with volunteer healthcare delegations which offer free health check-ups and medicines for the poor. At Hieu Liem communal medical station, many privileged families are waiting for volunteer doctors from the provincial general hospital.
Nguyen Thi Hoang Trang, secretary of the provincial Reproductive Healthcare Center’s youth union, said the volunteer healthcare journeys not only help young doctors improve their capacity but show responsibility of doctors.
Aside from healthcare journeys at the commune, the provincial Youth Union for agencies bloc held 4 free health check-ups and medicines for over 1,000 poor, privileged families at Tan Uyen district’s Tan Dinh commune and young workers at Hoa Phu ward of Thu Dau Mot town.
Improving legal knowledge for residents
The highlighted character of volunteer summer campaign of the youth union lies in legal promulgations through supposed trials. Thousands of legal leaflets offered for lodgers and laborers at industrial parks are impressive figures.
The supposed trials held at My Phuoc IP, VISIP… lured the participation of numerous laborers. Especially, the youth union pays attention to propagation on road traffic law to minimize accidents.
Granting charity houses
A work of granting charity houses to poor youths is one of new programs. The youth union bloc’s youths and unionists have so far granted 2 charity houses, each worth VND50mil to poor youths at Dau Tieng district.
In addition, the bloc’s youths and unionists involved in repairing charity houses and held review classes for poor children and so on. Particularly, the young people granted a set of computer to soldiers of Border Post 747.
