Recently, voluntary activities for social welfare of provincial Vietnam Youth Confederation (PVYC) have been organized diversely, extensively, attracting participation of majority young ones. These activities included environmental protection, visiting and offering gifts to policy families, free health check-up and medicine dispensation, blood donation, and so on.
Good deeds for the community
Dissemination of environmental protection has been promoted. A green volunteer squad was established to carry out activities like: green Sundays, tree planting, canal dredging, river protection, garbage classifying, billboard removing, and responding to the World Environment Day, Earth Hour campaign, Cleaner World campaign, etc.
Besides, creative, diverse environmentally protecting programs have been launched, such as: exchanging garbage for gifts, collecting old clothes for recycling, making paper bags, cloth bags, reducing plastic bags, Binh Duong Youth and green city festive day, green Binh Duong Boulevard, bicycle parade, and so on. These activities were pervasive and impacted positively on people’s environmental awareness.

PVYC has also organized many practical programs to ensure traffic order and safety. These were traffic culture festive day combines with lively propaganda of high-quality helmet exchange with price support, traffic safety propaganda among young workers at lodging houses, companies.
Voluntary young ones have joined hands with traffic police to preserve traffic order and safety, e.g. patrolling, guiding traffic at intersections, tackling traffic congestion, first-aid for victims, protecting accident scene, etc.
Especially, PVYC in coordination with businesses and authorities has deployed the model of teaching, examining, issuing driving licenses with price support combined with safe driving propaganda. This program has attracted thousands of workers, and receiving high consensus from public.
Sharing with the community
Voluntary activities of PVYC have also been aimed at policy beneficiaries, elderly, children, remote areas, even in Laos. Associations of Young Entrepreneurs, Physicians, Green Voluntary squad under PVYC have executed many voluntary programs.
Additionally, PVYC received and assisted doctor delegations from Yonsei University, Korean and Singapore student delegations visiting and doing social works at Binh Duong. Thereby, competence of PVYC’s staff has been proved and improved.
Blood donation has also grown strongly and absorbed a great number of participants. Many young volunteer groups were formed to encourage and give blood donation. Particularly, PVYC developed many days of blood donation to receive blood donation and give free health check-up, dispense medicines. This activity has supplied timely blood to urgent patients.
