Khanh Binh Commune in Tan Uyen District has prioritized dissemination of guidelines and policies of the Party and the State to local people consisting of majority of immigrants. Aside from that, local people have been attracted to cultural, art, and sports activities which offer them trust to stay with the land.The transformation of culture, arts, and sports locally was thanks to activities of clubs including 6 clubs of Tai Tu Music and TCM, 1 club of traditional martial arts, and 4 clubs of yangsheng (elderly exercises) across the hamlets.

TCM music show was also held for songs of revolutionary stage of the nation. Other contests and competitions were also held including fashion show to mark Women’s Day, ornament plants, modern dances, Day of Vietnamese Family, beautiful photography, karaoke, etc.Besides, competition and information dissemination on knowledge improvement for managers of the hamlets have been held in a bid to reinforce knowledge on building up cultural communes and hamlets under movement of “the whole public in building up cultural life”.The commune performing teams have serviced many shows across the hamlets to depict themes of family and population planning, building cultural communes, eliminating social evils, superstition, gambling, etc.Meantime, cultural post office has been maintained and opened 24/7 to offer newspapers, telephone use, and documents.Sports movements have also been developed locally. Thus, Khanh Binh Commune was ranked first in emulation programs at district level in 2013.“The achievements of culture and sports have, in years, flourished thanks to the care of local Party Committee, People’s Committee and coordination of sectors and unions in terms of funding and approval,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, an officer of culture and sports.Reported by T.
