Today of August 14, students of elementary and secondary schools started up their school starting day of 2017-2018. All activities servicing the new school years have been fulfilled in summer in the sector of education and training.
All students offered classroom placement
Summer is the time when the sector of education and training prepare for new school year to ease the pressure of enrollment as the quantity of students is increased year on year amounting to 412,784 this year across Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat, and Tan Uyen. Nguyen Hong Sang, the Director of Education and Trining informed of preparation for schooling of kindergarten to grade 1 and grade 6 students along with 8,872 qualified students for grade 10 of public schools.

To ensure school placement for increasing student quanity in public schools, they are qualified by temporary residence of more than 6 months in the locality, the newly registered students of temporary residence shall be accepted until the placements are full and transferred to neighboring localities. In such localities, the classes of 2 sessions a day shall be reduced with 45-50 students per class.
Facilities ready
In 2017-2018, the province has 596 schools of all levels with hustle preparation ever since summer. The construction and renovated facilities have been fulfilled to be thoroughly prepared for the new school year.
In the face of increasing students year on year, the Department of Education and Training has consulted with the province to construct more faclities to satisfy their needs. In the new school year, the province eyes additionally 13 constructions of schools with 251 classrooms. Nguyen Hong Sang added that by the end of July, the constructions hvae been fulfilled to be ready for students in the new school year.
Quality improved
In 2017-2018, Department of Education and Training aims for quality with focused curriculum for preschools and kindergarten on the basis of structuring, staffing, and caring.
As for secondary and high school education, regulations shall be tightened to improve comprehensively quality education for students who shall be assessed by Circular No. 22 of Ministry of Education and Training on strong reforms and synchronization of basis factors of high school education on the basis of observation of learners’ development, ethics, and community and social skills. As for continual schooling, the learning society is promoted in all aspect so that graduates shall have good employment. Universities are cooperating internationally to implement education, researches, and corporate-integrated education institutions to develop humand resources.
In 2016-2017, the department has gained glorious position in improving quality to ensure the trust of the whole society.
