Reinforce the prevention of avian flu pandemic
Due to the occurrence of avian flu pandemic at 2 breeding farms in Tay Ninh province bordering with Campuchia plus 5 cases of influenza A/H5N1 within January 2013 and the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the provincial People’s Committee has promulgated an official document numbered 418-UBND KTN in order to direct the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and People’s Committee of all levels within Binh Duong province to reinforce the prevention of avian flu pandemic. Consequently, the Department cooperated with press agencies in increasing the avian flu pandemic propagation to raise people’s awareness, and instructed the Veterinary Branch to intensify monitoring, handle for inhibition of epidemic spreading, close control of poultry transportation. People’s Committee of all levels within province reinforce avian flu pandemic’s prevention by closely controlling epidemic’s status in local area, monitoring veterinary diseases on every breeding farm, inspecting poultry trading… As epidemics are recognized, stringent treatments are required by poultry destroying, supporting farmers for avoiding of epidemics hiding. Additionally, Steering committee of avian flu pandemic’s prevention needs to conduct effectively propagation of pandemic prevention in order to improve people’s awareness of cooperating with authorities in epidemic prevention.
