October 28, the relief team of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by Deputy Director Nguyen Tan Loc and leaders of Binh Duong Materials and Construction Corporation was concluding their visit to Thua Thien Hue – the last province hit by Nari Storm on October 15.

It was horric to witness the havasted sites left behind by the storm irrespective of human efforts to mitigate the consequences.

In Quang Ngai Province, Nari storm injured 10 people and damaged 1,050 houses (23 totally collapsed), 31 schools, 80 roads, 7 solid bridges and drains, 46 irrigation dykes, 30 boats and 2 fishing boats on Ly Son island.
In Quang Nam Province, Nari Storm lasted for 8 hours from the night of October 14 to afternoon of October 15, battering coastal lines, river banks, and mountainous regions of Quang Nam Province, leaving 8 dead, 23,512 houses torn-roofed, 7,547 houses collapsed, 773 houses flooded, 9,600 ha of food crops damaged, schooling and traffic facilities damaged, 74 boats sunk or damage, etc. causing totally loss of up to VND 700 billion.

As for Da Nang City, the storm lasted 17 hours from October 14 to 15 injuring 17 people, 7,500 houses damaged (122 totally collapsed), over 250 schools damaged, etc., causing total damages nearly VND 870 billion.
Sharing with local community of the middle land
In the second stage visit, the relief team of Binh Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gifts to 100 households of Cor people at Tra Lam Commune, Tra Bong District, 70 km away from Quang Ngai municipality to the South-North, causing havoc to houses and crops here. The commune was populated with 96% of Cor people in 2,000 people community.

Getting to Quang Nam Province, the team visited families of dead people in the storm at two districts of Tien Phuoc and Nui Thanh. Words were extended to families of Mrs. Tra Thi Hong, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xuan among other injured victims.
Receiving the kind donation of the team, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang, Chair of Da Nang City Fatherland Front Committee, on behalf of local victims, thanked the leaders and people of Binh Duong Province for timely sharing with storm-hit communities in middle land of Vietnam in the two havoc storms. The help was greatly encouraging for the communities to overcome hardship and damages caused by natural disasters.
