Early January 19, a delegation of religious dignitaries in the province visited and extended Tet greetings to leaders of provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee. Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council and Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council received the delegation at provincial Party Committee’s Office.
The delegation expressed delight at the local socio-economic achievements in 2016. Last year, the local religious community also well obeyed the Party and State’s guidelines, policies and laws; actively responded to patriotic emulation movements and got involved in social charity activities. On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Canh thanked religious dignitaries for their New Year wishes while wanting that they will further attach special importance to mobilizing clergy and followers to live with the motto of “good religion, good life” and well observe regulations in religious practice.
The delegation also paid a visit to leaders of provincial People’s Committee. At the reception, Tran Van Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee acknowledged significant contributions by the religious community to the local socio-economic development. The delegation also thanked provincial leaders for their efforts in creating favorable conditions for the religious community to practise religious activities.
