Binh Nham has known as a revolutionary land with advantages of socio-economic development. In August, 1930, a party cell of the Communist Party of Vietnam was set up and the party cell was also one among two first party cells in Thu Dau Mot province of yore. The party cell’s 6 first party members include Truong Van Phen, Nguyen Van Tiet, Nguyen Van Long, Dinh Van Sang, Nguyen Van Nau and Ho Van Cong. They gathered many other people to join in the party cell.
In 2003, Binh Nham Temple was built to educate young generation about the local tradition. The temple engraves local origin and character from reclamation period 300 years ago of 4 families such Nguyen, Tran, Le and Vo. They were the first families reclaiming the locality and turned a muddy land along to Sai Gon River into paddy fields and orchards…
During the 2 resistance wars, Binh Nham was home to 301 martyrs, 14 heroic mothers, 78 revolutionary contributors and 25 wounded and sick soldiers.
