Over the past time, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels promoted their activities and movements through emulation programs to improve the local women’ spiritual and material lives. This contributed to helping the role of the local women in family and society enhanced more.
Emulation movements promoted
“Women helping each other in economic development” was one of practical emulation movements done by provincial Women’s Unions at all levels during the past time. Through models, namely “Well-off women helping needy ones”, “Saving day for poor women” …, the emulation movement was strongly developed among the local women.

Outstanding women in bringing up children in 2015 honored
Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels attached special importance to helping the local women get access to loans in order to foster production models, improving their lives. So far, they have maintained 3,866 saving groups with more than 131,000 members and more than VND9.8bln, helping 5,780 women get loans for economic development.
Especially, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels last year diversified propaganda forms to continue realizing the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh” campaign in association with refining Vietnamese women’s 4 virtues: self-confidence, self-respect, faithfulness and resourcefulness. From maintaining self-awareness to taking action, they also raised 998 piggybanks with nearly VND1bln, mobilized 11,474 kg of rice under the “charity rice jar” model, supported VND155mln for 909 poor women…
The “Women actively studying, creatively working and building up happy families” emulation movement was also launched widely and deeply among officials, members and women. Its contents became a motivation for them to surmount difficulties and well fulfill entrusted tasks. Till now, there have been 100% of Women’s Union locals, 91% of officials, members and 67% of women registering to realize the emulation movement.
Building up a powerful organization
In a bid to absorb more women, one of major tasks done by provincial Women’s Union over the past time was to bend on improving the quality of Women’s Union locals as well as their staff’s qualification. Accordingly, there was a gradual improvement in both operational content and form at Women’s Union locals, catering members’ demand. Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels also organized numerous activities to gather the local women and uphold their creativeness while attaching special importance to giving training for outstanding officials to create faith among members, women.
For better development, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels need to improve their operational content and form. Their officials also need to catch sisters’ feelings and aspirations for timely help, according to Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwoman of provincial Women’s Union. She added that provincial Women’s Union took measures to improve the quality of its affiliates and boosted a task on gathering the local women and well controlled members over the past time.
