SARS-CoV-2 tests for military recruits to be ensured by epidemic prevention and control terms

To ensure health and safety in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, on February 9, Department of Health asked the provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) and health centers of districts, towns and cities to organize SARS-CoV-2 testing by RT-PCR methods for citizens called to enlist in military service in 2022.

Accordingly, the provincial CDC supports the health centers of districts, towns and cities to organize the testing based on the testing plan in the locality, budget for supplies, equipment, and biological products to be distributed to health centers in the province from the source of epidemic prevention and control. In particular, CDC receives samples before 5:00 p.m. on February 14 and returns test results before 10:00 a.m. on February 15. Medical centers of districts, towns and cities make a list of citizens with an order to enlist in the army in 2022 to develop test plan, and advise the local Military Service Council to organize sampling at 13:30 on February 14. Time to hand over patient samples is before 5:00 p.m. on February 14.

The application of time for delivery, receipt and return of test results is to help Military Service Councils of districts, towns and cities complete the enlistment dossiers for citizens with orders to enlist in accordance with the regulations.

Carrying out the selecting and calling citizens to enlist in the army in 2022, the Military Service Council of Bac Tan Uyen district advised the district People's Committee to issue a decision to assign targets, plans, and calls for citizens to enlist in the army in 2022 and documents leading and directing communes and townships to well implement the plan to issue orders to call citizens to enlist in the hands of young people 15 days in advance as prescribed.

According to the district Military Service Council, the communes and towns have organized the vaccination against COVID-19 for young people who are ready to join the army in 2022. The district Military Command continues to coordinate with the district health department to give young people the 3rd injection, ensuring that 100% of young people enlisted in the army receive 3 doses of the vaccines against COVID-19. In addition, the district Military Service Council advises the Standing Committee of the district Party Committee and the People's Committee to do a good job of controlling the COVID-19 epidemic for selected citizens and their relatives to enter the camp of troop reception; each called citizen can only be accompanied by 1-2 relatives to the camp area to minimize gathering in large numbers to ensure safety and to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic.
