From 20:00 to 21:00 on every Thursday, over 50 families in the locality reduce the energy use to minimum and it has become their habit.
“Turning off one light does not affect our lives,” said Ms. Le Thi Men, a local resident.
As for families of lower income, the movement is meaningful to save up their pocket. As family of Mrs. Tran Thi Ly, every month they could save a lot from humble income of VND 5 million.
“I can save for myself while helping others in the movement. It is a win-win deed,” said Mrs. Ly
Evaluating the model, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Be Ba, Secretary of local quarter party cell said that the model was very easy to be implemented. Learning from President Ho Chi Minh was very promotive to local people in a bid of building a united and cultural community.
The ongoing model is very encouraging by calling for more people to join and it is totally worth one hour.
