Tan Hiep Phat Corporation has just awarded 240 scholarships worth VND330million together with 90 bicycles worth VND1.5million each to poor-but-excellent pupils and students in the southernmost province of Ca Mau.
Among the 240 scholarships worth VND330million, 60 worth VND600,000 each were for primary pupils; 100 worth VND1million each for secondary pupils; 80 worth VND4million each for students. They were sponsored by the Scholarship Fund of the book “The story of Dr.Thanh’s Family”, written by Tran Uyen Phuong, Deputy General Director of the corporation.
Prior to that, the corporation also donated 1,000 gifts to poor-but-excellent students, pupils and the offspring of workers with difficult circumstances at the 17th provincial mid-autumn festival for poor pupils and students.
*On the occasion of the 2018-2019 new academic year, the War Veterans’ Association of Khanh Binh ward in Tan Uyen town has just coordinated with the People’s Committee of the ward to award 34 scholarships worth VND500,000 each to disadvantaged pupils.
This was one of practical activities done by the association, aiming to encourage pupils with extremely difficult circumstances to further pursue their learning.
