The Emulation Group 5 of provincial Business Bloc’s Trade Union and provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients, on August 6, co-held a ceremony to award 131 scholarships worth VND1mln each to orphan and disabled children with difficult circumstances for the 2015-2016 academic year.
The practical activity aimed to express the community’s attention and love to extremely difficult children in the province, encouraging them to overcome difficulties and get high achievements in study to be able to become obedient children, good pupils and useful citizens to the society.
*The same day, the Study Promotion Association of Phu Tho ward in TDM city also awarded scholarships and gifts to poor-but-excellent pupils in the 2014-2015 academic year.
Particularly, the association mobilized socio-economic organizations and donors to present 20 scholarships, including VND300,000 in cash and 15 notebooks each, together with 131 gifts, comprising of 20 notebooks each, with a total expense of nearly VND9mln to the local poor pupils with good academic results.
This was one of practical activities done by the association to encourage the local poor pupils to further pursue their learning in the 2015-2016 new academic year.
