School and business team up together to train laborers

Binh Duong now has more than 50 vocational training schools. Most of them have had international relation departments taking charge of linking with businesses to make a bridge for meeting demand of businesses and laborers.

In the school year of 2012-2013, the Southern Vocational College of Technology and Agro-forestry opened numerous training courses across its 8 branches spreading 7 provinces including Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Dac Lac, Kon Tum and many more. The college’s majors mainly include cultivation, ornamental tree, agro-forestry. With these majors, the school has over the past time teamed up with enterprises to offer human resources. This deed has received high appreciation from companies and learners.

From the instruction of “Training attaches to employment”, Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College in cooperation with businesses has offered manpower for business community. At present, the college’s foreign affair – application research department has cooperated with businesses to place job for students.

Moreover, the college has held and arranged direct interviews between enterprises and students. This process has created comfortable spirit for students. Also this process plus trademark and prestige, the college has over the past time introduced and placed job for more than 90% of graduates. Until now, the college has had more than 200 businesses holding constant contacts.

Notably, the work of consultancy, job introduction of Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College has helped graduates enjoy jobs after graduation as well as made enterprises feel secure in quality of students. Therefore, relation between the college and business has increased cooperation for the sake of manpower supply.

Linkage of vocational training between vocational schools and businesses has been spurred strongly. This brings interests for not only businesses but students.

According to forecast of the provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, demand on skilled manpower in Binh Duong till 2015 will be at around 616,665 people. In the other hand, demand on trained human resources for all areas also increase along. This shows a common development trend of the society, requiring laborers’ high skills.
