On 22 Nov, at Provincial Political School, Provincial Party Committee held a science seminar on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development in the province”. Lê Hữu Phước, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Propagation and Education Commission, chaired the seminar. Attending were Đặng Minh Hưng, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, representatives of districts, towns and city in the province, more than 50 scientists, experts working in cultural fields at universities, research institutes of some provinces and cities in South eastern region.
At the seminar, delegates listened to 4 thematic reports synthesized from 89 researches on the implementation of Resolution 33 of the 11th Party Central Committee and Action Program No. 88 of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee. Some main reports such as: "An overall view of the results of building and developing Binh Duong culture and people meeting the requirements of sustainable development"; "An overview of building Binh Duong culture, ethical standards, lifestyles and behaviours of people in accordance with the industrialization, urbanization, rural modernization and international integration of the province"; "Building a cultural environment, building a culture in politics and economy" ...
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Phước, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Propagation and Education Commission, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, said through the workshop to have a comprehensive, objective view, scientific evaluation of achievements as well as limitations and obstacles in building and developing Binh Duong people in recent years. Therefore, Provincial Party Committee will have directions and solutions in building and developing Binh Duong people in the following years. At the same time, this was also a forum for scientists and practitioners in cultural branches to meet and discuss in order to clarify practical issues posed in the development process of Binh Duong.
