Scientific research to contribute to improving health services quality

In recent years, scientific research, promoting innovation and improvement of techniques and technology have been an important part of activities of provincial health sector. According to Doctor (Dr.) Luc Duy Lac, Director of provincial Department of Health, this activity have contributed to improving the quality of health services, socioeconomic efficacy, expanding the scope of provincial health care…

Recently, provincial health sector held the 14^th scientific technological and technical seminar 2015 attracting 176 scientific researches and improvement initiatives selected from authors inside and outside the province.  The seminar is organized annually to publish results of scientific research, innovation, and experience of physicians; is a chance to exchange, learn and share among peers in the industry. This is a clear evidence of the movement of scientific research, promoting initiatives among provincial health sector.

This year, Dr. Ho Van Binh and his colleagues submitted the research “Evaluation of artery’s age at incumbent superior cadres in Binh Duong province”. Dr. Binh said, in recent years, he has participated in a science research projects and considered this as an important task in his professional. This has been a meaningful movement to physicians, thereby, to exchange experiences and lessons to develop together.

Dr. Luc Duy Lac said, this movement has attracted participation of majority officials in the sector. Scientific research has also been gradually standardized; quality and applicability of researches have been improved. The movement has attracted participation of physicians not only in the province but also in eastern and southwestern provinces.

“Scientific research, initiatives are duties of physicians. This has also been a criterion to assess performance of each unit as well as individual. The movement has become a regular activity of provincial physicians. Annually, we invites experts from HCM City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Tu Du Hospital, Institute of Hygiene and Public Health... to evaluate quality of researches, and invites neighboring provinces to exchange experiences”, said Dr. Lac.

Scientific research, promoting initiatives in the health sector has been conducted for many years and appreciated by professionals. Researches and initiatives studied from reality will helped a lot in improving knowledge, application of experiences to improve the quality of people's health care and protection in the province.
