Provincial Association for the Blind has just forwarded a seminar on improving its activities in 2013.
The whole province is now home to 806 blind people, including 746 members of provincial Associations for the Blind at all levels. Most of them live in difficult circumstances. Under the attention of authorities at all levels, provincial Associations for the Blind at all levels over time teamed up with relevant agencies to take good care of members’ lives via many practical activities, including giving vocational training, creating jobs for them, helping them get loans to develop homebased business, well realizing social welfare policies…The branches of provincial Association for the Blind in Thuan An town’s Lai Thieu ward, Dau Tieng district’s communes of Thanh Tuyen, An Lap were typical examples for the above things.
The seminar aimed to create favorable conditions for participants to raise thoughts and issues that need to be concerned for analysis, research and application together while seeing them as a foundation for suggestions to authorities at all levels for consideration and solution.
It also discussed many issues relating to the contents and forms of the association, including focusing on changing in awareness in association with IT application and learning, putting forward activities to take care of members…
