On September 8, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) in collaboration with Southern College of Technology and Forestry Agriculture held a seminar on vocational training at demand of businesses in the province. Attending the event were representatives of vocational training schools and businesses in the province.
At the seminar, delegates were heard speeches by schools on training human resources that have linkage with businesses. Representatives of businesses also wanted to link with schools to train skilled laborers at requirements of their units.
The whole province now has a total of 72 vocational training facilities, providing the labor market with 25,000-30,000 skilled laborers every year.
Apart from achievements done, there are many shortcomings in training human resources in association with businesses’ demand. The seminar aimed to analyze and seek concrete solutions for vocational training at the labor market’s demand.
