After a short period of time, many meaningful relief missions from the people of the capital have reached our beloved North, contributing to helping our fellow countrymen overcome the disaster and stabilize their lives.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot city has received support from organizations and individuals to help people in the northern provinces overcome the consequences of typhoon Yagi

Rational response

Responding to the call of the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot city, right after the program "Morning coffee with exchange with the people", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My ward organized a program to support the people in the northern provinces in overcoming the consequences caused by the floods. At the launching ceremony, a large number of people from all walks of life, together with government leaders, officials, party members, civil servants, workers, and representatives of businesses, promote the traditional values of solidarity and mutual assistance, and join hands to share support.

Mr. Huynh Tan Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My ward, said that the ward's Fatherland Front has called on all classes of people and businesses in the area to join hands in supporting essential goods and cash to be sent to the city and provincial Fatherland Front Committees for transfer to the northern provinces affected by typhoon No. 3. After the launch, organizations and individuals in the ward have donated cash, goods, food, and essential items with a total value of over 70 million VND.

With the desire to timely support the people in the North affected by the floods, in recent days, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Loi ward has mobilized officials, party members, union members, organizations, and individuals in the area to actively contribute money and essential goods. In addition, the front work committee in the neighborhoods has called on members, union members, and people to contribute and support the people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. As of September 16, 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has received a total donation amount of over 243 million VND in the first phase, which has been submitted to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city. In addition, the ward's Fatherland Front Committee has also transferred various essential items including 60 sets of mosquito nets, blankets, pillows (brand new), 60 packages of essential supplies, 1 box of common medicines, and 15 boxes of effervescent vitamin C tablets (750 tubes), with an estimated value of nearly 50 million VND, gathered at the headquarters of the Red Cross Society of the province for transportation to the people in the northern region.

The appreciation

In these days, officials, people, and business community in Thu Dau Mot city are still continuing to contribute and support through the Fatherland Front system and related organizations in order to desire to share the immense losses of the people in the northern provinces caused by natural disasters.

Mrs. Truong Thi Thu Hien, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot city, said that in response to the call of the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province, the city's Vietnam Fatherland Front system has launched an appeal, calling on all people to join hands and support and assist the people of the northern provinces in overcoming difficulties and recovering from the consequences of natural disasters, storms, and floods. In the coming time, it is hoped that officials, civil servants, employees, Party members, mass organizations, and local authorities will continue to call on families, relatives, organizations, and individuals with goodwill to continue contributing to support the people in the North.

As of September 16, 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system in Thu Dau Mot city has received cash donations totaling 1,121,360,000 VND; goods converted into a monetary value of 651,841,000 VND; and recorded transfer amounts exceeding 500,000,000 VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. On September 16, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city transferred an amount of 1,121,360,000 VND to the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee of Binh Duong province and goods worth 651,841,000 VND to the provincial Red Cross Society's warehouse to promptly support the people in provinces affected by natural disasters.

The timely support from organizations and individuals, regardless of their size, is greatly appreciated and it is hoped that the spirit of solidarity and unity from the people of Hanoi and the whole country will promptly share the heavy losses that the people in the North have suffered after the recent storm and flood. The city's Fatherland Front system also hopes to continue receiving support and assistance from organizations and individuals to deliver to the people in the North, contributing to helping them overcome difficulties, losses, and stabilize their lives.

Many forms of mobilization and calls have been implemented by the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thu Dau Mot city, such as organizing direct mobilization programs, integrating them into people's conferences, the "Morning Coffee Exchange with the People" program, donation boxes placed at reception points and administrative document return points in wards, connecting with religious organizations, businesses, transportation units... all joining hands, contributing to helping the people in the North overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
