Sentimental sharing to children in remote areas

With the motto of "Sowing love to receive love", the Youth Activities Steering Committee of Hiep An Ward in Thu Dau Mot city has had many meaningful activities to take care of the children; in which, the trip to give gifts and free medical examination to poor students at Thong Nhat Primary School in Bu Dang district of Binh Phuoc province had been of such meanings.

Binh Phuoc has now developed much as the roads are spacious, and the schools are well invested into. However, due to the large land and sparse population, the learning conditions for children in many villages are still low, especially the school site of Hamlet 9 of Thong Nhat Primary School that we just arrived. Walking on the winding and twisting road is quite beautiful, but the guide would say: "I just hope it will no rain as when it rains, the car would be in water and wait for the sun to rise, and the road is dry."

Free medical examination offered to students at Hamlet 9 of Thong Nhat Primary School

After a few kilometers on the bumpy red dirt road, we reached the school site. Receiving us with a bright smile, teacher Nong Thi Uyen, Vice Principal of Thong Nhat Primary School, said: “This is the most thriving primary school in the district. The field has 3 points distributed in hamlets far from the school. At each point, hamlet 9 has 84 students who are children of ethnic minorities, and nearly that number are in disadvantaged families who need the attention of society to help them go to school.

To accompany and support the children to go to school, the Youth Activities Steering Committee of Hiep An Ward organized a summer program for students in place. Accordingly, the ward has mobilized benefactors to accompany to give nearly 80 gifts, books and scholarships to disadvantaged students. At the same time, the ward has mobilized doctors of Nhan Hoa Clinic to examine the local students and residents. Dieu Thi Lan, a resident who was examined by a doctor for a respiratory infection, said: "At the place, going to the doctor and buying medicine is very hard, which you have to go ten kilometers to the commune to get a place. Sunny days are okay, but rainy days are slippery, we can't go anywhere.”

Particularly in this visit, Hiep An ward also mobilized 2 hair stylists to come and cut hair for free. Many fashionable hairstyles through the hands of 2 professional barbers made the children's faces radiant. Many children, after being given a free haircut, expressed their greatest interest. After receiving the gift, two young children Dieu Thi Ngoc Hoa and Dieu Thi Ngan were very excited smiling brightly. It is known that the parents of two children are both working as rubber tappers. "Now we have books and new bags, my parents don't buy them anymore," said little Dieu Thi Ngoc Hoa.

Sharing about this program, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ngu, Vice Chairman of Hiep An Ward People's Committee, said: “Every year, the ward organizes programs for poor students in remote areas, with the desire to share, encourage and motivate poor students to continue going to school.”

The journey of sowing love, giving gifts, giving free medical examination to poor students has ended and we are also fortunate not to be kept by the god thanks to the sun. The journey is short but meaningful, energizing and believing so that students in remote areas always feel "every day at school is a happy day".
