This is one of ideas of deputies of the provincial People’s Council at the inspection session on implementing policies and laws on health insurance from 2009 to 2013 and the first half of this year.
At the inspection session, the provincial Social Insurance and provincial Health Department reported on implementation of policies and laws relating to health insurance, management and usage of health insurance fund, insurance card issuance as well as service supply for health insurance participants.
Reportedly, the provincial Health Department said that the number of health insurance participant increases strongly, especially students and laborers of companies. In 2009, there were 937,608 out of 1,496,000 health insurance participants, accounting for 62.67% and till the first half of 2014 the number reached 1,300,996/1,952,764, winning 66.62%.
Quality of healthcare service for health insurance participants is also improved. At present, 100% of commune, township and plantation medical stations offer health check-up and treatment for health insurance participants.
Deputies also suggested that it is essential to offer better healthcare service by improving quality of health check-up and treatment, reducing procedures and waiting time as well as equipping more medical facilities to meet the rising demand of the health insurance participants.
