On the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019, provincial Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations organized many practical activities taking care of the spiritual and material lives of disadvantaged people.
Practical care
Provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) coordinated with provincial Buddhist Sangha to offer nearly 20,000 Tet gifts worth more than VND5billion to poor and poor-near households; held delegations to visit and present 1,665 gifts worth VND300,000 each to 15 social support facilities in the province. In addition, provincial FFC teamed up with provincial Red Cross Society to visit and offer gifts worth VND80million to 160 poor households emigrating from Cambodia and poor Cham ethnic people in Bau Bang district’s Long Nguyen commune and Dau Tieng district’s Minh Hoa commune.

Provincial FFC also visited, extended Tet greetings and presented Tet gifts worth VND259million to soldiers on duty on islands of the Naval Zone 5. Besides, provincial FFC organized delegations to visit and offer gifts to armed forces and the families of former leaders of FFC over periods. The FFCs of districts, towns and TCM city also implemented a lot of significant activities to join hands to take care of needy people’s Tet. Particularly, Di An town’s FFC mobilized organizations, individuals and pagodas to offer nearly 6,000 gifts worth nearly VND2billion to the poor. TDM city’s FFC joined hands with its member organizations to give 14,584 Tet gifts worth VND3.7billion for the poor. Whilst, Thuan An town’s FFCs at all levels donated 8,842 gifts worth more than VND3.8billion to policy beneficiaries and poor households…
Significant gifts
Along with practical activities done by FFCs at all levels, provincial Child Support Fund coordinated with Binh Duong Television-Radio Station to continuously organize “Spring with poor children” programs over the past time. This year, under the program, provincial Child Support Fund donated 1,815 Tet gifts; gave long-term support for 20 children, offered unexpected support to 19 extremely difficult circumstances; awarded “Nurturing aspirations” scholarships, donated milk products to 412 children…with a total expense of more than VND3.1billion. In response to the program, organizations and individuals have so far funded heart surgery for 244 needy children; awarded nearly 6,600 scholarships, more than 979 bicycles, 123 sets of computers to poor-but-excellent pupils; visited and presented 53,587 gifts on Tet and great holidays…with a total expense of more than VND77billion.
On the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019, provincial Women’s
Provincial Youth Union also joined hands with enterprises to offer plan tickets to 420 young workers to come back home for Tet with a total value of VND2.1billion; organized Tet meals at sub-unions for young workers; donated 50 gifts to outstanding young workers with contributions to activities of the Youth Union and associations. Moreover, provincial Student Association gave 30 Tet gifts for students and Youth Union cadres who could not return home for Tet. Provincial Young Pioneer Organization teamed up with relevant units to organize a voluntary spring program named “For beloved juniors” in Binh Phuoc district’s Bu Gia Map district with 2,500 notebooks, 30 school bags, 10 scholarships worth VND45million offered to needy pupils…
On this occasion, provincial Labor Union instructed trade unions at all levels to organize “Tet sum vay” (Gathering in the Tet holiday) programs with such practical activities as giving gifts, coach tickets; organizing art performances, selling goods with preferential prices…for laborers. Provincial Labor Union also directly mobilized enterprises and donors to give care for laborers with extremely difficult circumstances and fatal illness…
As Tet approaches, provincial FFC and its member organizations have always organized a lot of noble deeds in favor of policy beneficiaries, poor households and workers. All have contributed to bringing a spring to all people and setting the fire of love in a warm spring.
