Settlement in Binh Duong

4 years ago, Nguyen Thi Hai and Nguyen Van Tin from the Northern province of Thanh Hoa were lodgers at Thuan Giao ward, Thuan An town. Their life met many difficulties because their second child suffered a cerebral palsy disease. Their small and narrow lodging room did not ensure their child’s health, so they decided to buy a new house.

In the recent years, Hai must quit her job to stay home to take care of her ill child. Her neighbors often encourage her to make efforts to overcome obstacles.

Leaving the Northern province of Vinh Phuc- a native land- Nguyen Van Trong and Nguyen Thi Ngoc come to Binh Duong for a new life. At that time Trong worked as a driver and Ngoc was a worker of a factory. Owing to obstacles of living, they have made greater efforts to overcome difficulties. Till the end of 2009, they built a new house and thenceforth they have officially escaped life of lodgers.

Meanwhile, Trinh Dinh Truong and Le Thu Hop from the Northern province of Thanh Hoa accidentally met each other in Binh Duong province and after that they got married to create a new living in 2010. After more than 7 years of working as workers, they built a 50sqm new house worth over VND80mil at Binh Phuoc B quarter, Binh Chuan ward, Thuan An town.

Truong said “As an immigrant, I myself have made greater efforts to create a better life for the future. Our stable life makes our parents in native land feel secure in mind”.

After serious working hours, a couple of Tran Van Ngoan and Do Thi Dinh in the Northern province of Thanh Hoa enjoy a cozy life in a small house. Their small house is the result of constant working days. Every day, Ngoan carries out goods to market for his trade whilst his wife works at Acecook Vietnam JSC in Thuan An town. The couple’s income is at about VND10mil per month. Ngoan shared “Though my family is relatively poor, our life is better than other immigrants. The locality gives us good opportunities to integrate into the community”.
