Lightening up dreams
To prepare for the new school year, on the last days of the 2013-2014 academic year, employees of Binh Duong Lottery Company busily sent notebooks to primary and secondary schools across the province. Every one were very happy to do charity works. These meaningful notebooks were under Binh Duong Lottery Company’s program of supporting 245,000 notebooks worth nearly VND1.2bil for talented underprivileged students.
At the closing ceremony of the 2013-2014 school year, holding a gift on hand, Phan Thanh Tung, the 7th grader of Binh Phu secondary school in Thu Dau Mot city shared “Getting these notebooks, my mother will not need to buy notebooks for me and save money”. Teacher Nguyen Bao Chau, head of the school’s young pioneer union added that Tung’s father passed away, her mother works as a worker with a modest income while Tung suffers a heart disease. Therefore, the school always spends scholarships for Tung.
Or, Lam Thanh Han, the 1st grader of Tan Dinh primary school in Ben Cat town said “I’m very happy to receive notebooks from Binh Duong Lottery Company”.
Over the past time, the company always pays much attention to social and charity activities, especially local education cause through meaningful programs of granting notebooks and scholarships to talented underprivileged students, sponsoring Sao Khue and Luong The Vinh prizes and more.
Besides, the company accompanies with disabled and unlucky pupils to lighten up their dreams, through the program of “Each charity heart lightens up a dream” of the provincial Sponsor Children Fund.
From this program, Nguyen Thanh Hai, the 8th grader of Nguyen Viet Xuan secondary school in Thu Dau Mot city can pursue his learning. His circumstance is very difficult, he is living with his grandparents and suffering a serve disease. Despite pains, he has made efforts to gain good academic achievements.
Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, director of the provincial Sponsor Fund for Children shared that the program of “Each charity heart lightens up a dream” is one of new activities of this fund. We link between donors and unlucky children to lighten up their dreams. As for Hai’s case, the fund mobilizes Binh Duong Lottery Company to donate VND1.5mil per month for him until he grows up”.
Warm houses
Aside from the program of “Each charity heart lightens up a dream”, the movement of building gratitude and charity houses is especially paid by the company. Over the past years, the company builds hundreds of charity and gratitude and unity houses to privilege families, poor people in difficulty of accommodation.
Last time, Binh Duong Lottery Company granted VND400mil to marine policemen. Nguyen Cong Luan, general director of the company said that the company always specifies production and business in attachment to the community responsibility. The company’s profit must go with quality of laborers’ life, environmental protection and social charity.
Therefore, over the past time, the company contributes tens of billions of dong to the social charity activities, contributing to excel social welfare work. And, social charity activity becomes the precious tradition of the company’s employees.
