Overcoming difficulties
Shyang Hung Cheng Co. is among few foreign enterprises with cadres who are responsible for trade union activities. In addition to creating favorable conditions in terms of time and operational budget, the company has entrusted its Trade Union with Wow coffee shop, a food section and a supermarket for workers. Last year, the company also put its Vinh Hy kindergarten into operation, contributing to lessening laborers’ burden of time and money.

After its 9-year operation, the company’s Trade Union has step by step reaped development in all aspects. The Trade Union has excelled at taking care of laborers’ lives and protecting their legitimate rights and interests; built up advanced, stable and harmonious labor relations among enterprises, contributing to improving laborers’ spiritual and material lives; regularly visited laborers and grasped their thoughts or timely support; organized classes on computer and foreign languages for laborers, aiming to improve their qualification, etc.
Diversified activities
The company’s Trade Union has regularly supervised and sped up enterprises’ implementation of policies for laborers; helped laborers know and sign labor deals with enterprises as stipulated; paid visits to laborers and grasped their thoughts for timely solutions to ensure their legitimate rights and interests; actively mobilized them to get involved in social charity activities, etc. In 2012 alone, the Trade Union organized visits to 2,434 turns of laborers with VND490mln and subscribed more than VND90mln to trade unionists with difficulties
Realizing dissemination of information among laborers is very important, the company’s Trade Union has sped up this task via many forms. Particularly, the Trade Union has focused on propagandizing the Party and State’s policies and guidelines regarding laborers; gender, reproductive health, cultural behaviors…to laborers.
With the above efforts, the Trade Union has achieved much progress in operation, winning the faith of both employees and employer. This is because the Trade Union has contributed to promoting the development of the company and keeping laborers by many efforts.
