The 2014 summer youth volunteer campaign in the province has been launched from June 1 to September 5, 2014 with many significant activities to be done.
Urban civilization construction
With the goal of
“Each Youth Union branch does a practical deed for the sake of the community”,
Thuan An town’s Youth Union will launch the “Voluntary Saturday” and “Green
Sunday” campaigns during the 2014 summer youth volunteer campaign. Accordingly,
the local volunteers will make environmental hygiene in quarters; collect
waste, especially harmful waste; remove illegal advertising boards…

The town’s Youth Union will also promote the campaign of “Youth with traffic culture” by many concrete actions and the movement of “Three Nos” (Not trying, not keeping and not using drug) among the local young people.
According to Luong Minh Tan, Secretary of Thuan An town’s Youth Union, the town’s Youth Union will cooperate with the town’s Steering Board for Traffic Safety to organize a program on “Youth with traffic culture” with many significant activities, including a training course on safe driving, a photo exhibition on traffic safety…
Bau Bang district’s Youth Union has also set many targets in response to the 2014 summer youth volunteer campaign. Particularly, the district’s Youth Union will strive to reach 100% of commune-level Youth Unions with activities in keeping traffic safety; have 100% of commune-level Youth Unions with activities on urban civilization construction; mobilize Youth Union members and young workers to register for implementation of the program of “Cultural lodging facilities”; classify waste at source; get 100% of commune-level Youth Unions with summer activities for children…
New rural construction
Under the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, Ben Cat district’s Youth Union will focus on mobilizing all resources to build rural infrastructure with many significant activities, comprising of installing lightening systems, upgrading rural roads, bridges and intra-field canals, during the 2014 summer youth volunteer campaign.
The town’s Youth Union will also organize many art and cultural activities at the local people’s demand for entertainment; mobilize organizations and individuals to build charity houses for youngsters with difficult circumstances, offer help to poor and disabled children, guide youngsters to get access to loans for economic development…
Nguyen Van Dung, Vice-Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Youth Union said that the district’s volunteer activities for the sake of the community during this year’s summer youth volunteer campaign will be held in communes of Long Nguyen, Cay Truong and Tru Van Tho. Here, the local youth volunteers will get involved in activities such as upgrading hamlets’ cultural houses, schools, recreational areas for children and teenagers…
According to provincial Youth Union Vice-Secretary Pham Hong Thang, the province’s 2014 summer youth volunteer campaign will focus on main programs as follows: “urban civilization”, “new rural construction”, “giving strength in exam season-giving strength to school, “volunteer towards national sea and islands”…Provincial Youth Federation will also join hands with provincial Young Physicians Association, the Youth Union of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. and the Youth Union of northern Lai Chau province to organize a volunteer journey to Dien Bien Phu; strike up a friendship with Phu Quy island district in the central province of Binh Thuan; provide free medical check-up, medicine and gifts for fishermen, pupils, border soldiers on the island.
