Many significant art performances have been organized across the province on the occasion of the Vu Lan festival 2014.
*To raise funds for Bo De Dao Trang pagoda and Que Huong charity center, Sen Ho Tay restaurant in TDM city’s Chanh Nghia ward joined hands with some donors to organize an art performance with the participation of singers Lam Hung, Bao Ha in HCM city and others in Binh Duong on the evening of August 10 (July 15 of lunar calendar).
*Early August 10, the Vu Lan festival 2014 took place at Thien An pagoda in Thuan An town’s Thuan Giao ward with traditional rituals and special art items performed by singers in and out of the province.
*An art performance to celebrate the Vu Lan festival 2014 was also organized at Thien An pagoda in Phu Giao district’s Phuoc Vinh township on the evening of August 10. The program included special items performed by Phat phap Lien Hoa art troupe from HCM city and singers in the district.
On this occasion, the Executive Board of the pagoda also presented 50 gifts, including rice, instant noodle, soya-sauce and cooking oil, to poor households across the district.
*Many art performances to celebrate the Vu Lan festival 2014 will also take place at Quan Am pagoda in Tan Uyen town’s Thai Hoa ward on August 15 (July 20 of lunar calendar) and Tay Tang pagoda in TDM city on August 17 (July 22 of lunar calendar) with the participation of singers in and out of the province.
